The amount of coins and cards it takes to increase the unit goes up as the unit reaches higher levels. Te level up a unit you need to use coins to increase its rank 3 times then commander cards to push it to the next level. I need to explain the upgrade system Each unit levels separately, infantry, tanks, mechs, etc. Each crate gives you a random amount of coins and some commander cards for a specific unit. The Second reason the crates do not matter is the fact that their isn't a whole lot to get from them. (Missions are also very easy complete) On top of all of this you receive a free crate every 1.5 hours. For completing 3 daily missions you get a crate and another crate per mission after the 3rd. Every time you level up you get a crate and every time your rank increases you get a crate. For losing a match you receive half a tank of gas. you can spend an additional gas tank to subtract 4 hours from that time but you can only use one tank per deliver. For winning a match you earn 1 gas tank that allows you to order a supply crate which then takes 7 hours to arrive. The first being, they are stupidly easy to acquire. While there are indeed boxes "or as they are called in game Supply crates" they have little to no impact on the game play itself for 2 reasons. After spending some time on it I would like to give it an honest review so others can see if they might be interested.įirst and foremost i would like to address the loot box concern. Everyone saw "mobile game" and "loot box" and were immediately blinded by rage and weren't willing to learn anything else about it. I saw this game getting a lot of hate from the community because it is a "shitty mobile loot box game." I downloaded to early access version to give it a try and I'm enjoying it. Remember, we're attempting to get in the shoes of a new player and what their experience will be like playing Rivals. Īlso, update your review on the mobile play store. Please write a review to express your dissatisfaction with the dystopian nightmare that the game has become. I absolutely DO NOT recommend the game in its current state. On top of that, the economy got slowed down along with half the units, making the game a much slower and tedious grind. It has taken out a unique and fast-paced playstyle that used to make the game good. Also, a recent balance patch has made the game significantly more boring as they boosted the base HP dramatically, punishing low-level players further as they have no way to mitigate their level disadvantage by going around the "Maginot Line," so to speak. You literally have to either spend thousands of dollars to be on par with players or play for over five years without a break if you want to get anywhere for free. When you finally manage to climb, you'll find yourself facing off against players with higher levels or players that, unlike you, have unlocked a lot of units. A pay-to-win nightmare for new playersThe new player experience is an absolute nightmare as you wait a long time in the queue in the unpopulated lower leagues.
